Located in the Lammermuir Hills, the Watch Reservoir is a short distance from the Southern Upland Way. Brown and Rainbow trout are both available for fishing, but only with the appropriate permit.
The Watch is approximately 900 feet above sea level, and its appealing feature is the secluded natural environment. Grouse, Canada geese that live here year-round, and occasional visits from Ospreys are the sights and sounds that take the place of the pressures and noise pollution that are an ever-present part of modern life.
Catch-and-release fishing is allowed on any boats chartered for the entire season on weekdays by both angling clubs and individual anglers.
