Wallington Hall is a serene fishing destination set in secluded, wooded parkland. The fishery features four stream-fed lakes, each offering a unique fishing experience. Located just off the A10 between Stow Bardolph and South Runcton, Wallington Hall provides old-fashioned estate lake fishing in a picturesque setting.

What size do the fish go to?

The lakes at Wallington Hall are home to a variety of fish species, offering something for every angler. Lake 1, covering approximately 3.3 acres, has depths up to 6 feet plus and was restocked in 2013. It now holds Tench and ide in addition to other species. Lake 2, covering around 3.5 acres, serves as the primary match lake and has been stocked with >20,000 silverfish, 1,200 small carp, and tench in recent years. Lake 3, covering about 4.4 acres, is the specimen lake, boasting carp up to 20lb plus, along with tench, bream, rudd, roach, crucian carp, perch, and pike. Lake 4, covering approximately 1.2 acres, is a newer addition and has been intentionally left “wild” for over 20 years. It is believed to hold good-sized carp and roach.

Wallington Hall offers a range of fishing opportunities across its lakes. The fishing tactics that work well will depend on the lake and the target species. Anglers can employ various methods, such as float fishing, feeder fishing, and pole fishing, to target the different fish species present in each lake. What facilities are on site?

Wallington Hall provides a peaceful and natural fishing environment set within wooded parkland. Car parking is available close to each lake, making it convenient for anglers to access their chosen fishing spot. The estate road provides access to the fishery (follow the signs). However, anglers should note that access is not permitted before 5.30 am, and all anglers must leave at dusk (latest at 9.45 pm). After this time, the gates will be locked, and there will be a release fee to exit the fishery.

Is parking available?

Yes, Wallington Hall offers car parking facilities near each of its lakes, allowing anglers easy access to the fishing areas. However, anglers should adhere to the access rules, which prohibit entry before 5.30 am and require all anglers to leave the fishery at dusk. After 9.45 pm, the gates will be locked, and there will be a release fee to exit the fishery.
