Fishery Information

One of the best and most popular day ticket fisheries (fly and bait) in Scotland is the Wellsfield Trout Fishery, located in Denny, Stirlingshire amid breathtakingly gorgeous natural surroundings. The water is spring fed, with natural feeder burn, and it is crystal clear.

The abundance of natural insect and aquatic life, encourages the trout to be free rising. In fact, it is not unusual to see trout rising even on the coldest and dullest of days, giving excellent surface sport to anglers. The trout fishery is spread across 30 acres and has 90 fishing pegs, some of which are accessible by wheelchair. Each of the three lochans at the fishery is stocked with fish.

Fly fishing from the bank is available on five acres of Lochan Hearadh, with depths of up to 19 feet and 45 pegs.

Fly fishing is available from the bank at Lochan Uaithne, covering 4 acres, depths of 18 feet, and 20 pegs.

Bait fishing from the shore is available on three acres of Lochan Fionn, with depths of twenty feet and twenty-five pegs.
