Fishery Information

Millhall Reservoir is a picturesque trout fishery that spans an area of 8 acres and found within the central belt of Scotland. It is owned and managed by Avonbank Fishery CIC, a community-focused organization that does not operate for profit and whose primary objective is to ensure that the venue is easily accessible to all members of the community.

It has a large stock of Rainbow trout. During the course of the season, stockings are on Mondays and Fridays of each week. The water at the Millhall Trout Fishery is crystal clear, and the borders are lined with thick beds of weed that make an excellent environment for trout to feed. The middle of the Reservoir has a depth of around 27 feet.

What size do the fish go to?

Rainbows and blues in the 2lb to 10lb plus mark, as well as some superb brown trout in the 1.5lb to 6lb mark.

What facilities are on site?

There is a lodge t serves tea, coffee, and snacks. Light tackle, including nylon and flies sold here, and the Fishery maintains a modest fleet of boats, one of which is likely wheeled to accommodate anglers with mobility restrictions.
