Barton Broad – Barry’s Lake

Address

Barton Broads Pk/Maltkiln Rd, Barton-upon-Humber DN18 5SW, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

This fishery seems to be composed of small waters at first sight. When you walk around it, you will realise that it is in fact a large water that has many different areas and cuttings in which to fish.

This water covers 10 acres and is packed with nice features and plenty of spaces from which to fish from. With depths between 4 and 6 feet, this venue has a good number of pegs that are designed for disabled anglers. Even though it is large, this lake doesn’t get quite busy with match anglers.

Even though it is not heavily stocked, this lake is home to beautiful roach, perch, bream, carp into double figures, catfish to 20 lbs and pike to 20 lbs.

To get there, follow these directions. On the south side of the Humber Bridge, head into Barton via the A15. Look for the railway station and go down Waterside Road. Take a right turn into Malt Kiln Road, go past the Supermarket and then take a right at the signpost for the fishery.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp go into double figures, catfish to 20 lbs and pike to 20 lbs.

What tactics work well?

Pole and feeder tactics reportedly work well for fishing on site. Predator tactics may also be used effectively when targeting the 20-lb pike.

What facilities are on site?

There is plenty of parking on site. This venue also offers disabled access.
