Fishery Information

Situated in Borwick, Lancs, Borwick Fishery is a tranquil setting for both the novice and more seasoned angler to enjoy a day’s sport. The site comprises of 4 lakes in total, all of which are well stocked with Carp, Pike, Catfish, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Tench.

The most popular lake is referred to as ‘Jimmy’s Lake’. This venue provides a large open water with accessible and spacious sites for pegs. Members enjoy good fishing on a regular basis here, however the site is also open to day ticket anglers. Opening times are 8am to 7pm, with night fishing permitted if prearranged with management.

What size do the fish go to?

The average size of Carp ranges between 20 lbs and 30 lbs, with the occasional 40lbs Catfish being reported. Large nets of Bream and Tench have also been recorded at over 100lb.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn has proven to be successful, especially with larger Bream and Carp. During the warmer months, anglers may also find it beneficial to utilise pellets and boilies.

What facilities are on site?

There is an on-site tackle and bait shop, which offers all of the essentials, plus a wide selection of baits. Clean and accessible toilets are also open to victors.
