Fishery Information

Located in medieval city of Peterborough, East Delph Lakes is a special fishing venue that boasts beautifully mature waters that are home to stunning carp. This fishery is run by carp anglers for carp anglers.

Moderately hard to find, this venue is a secure and private site. All sessions must be booked in advance as the number of daily visitors are increasing and they want to avoid overcrowding on site.

There are 3 lakes on the venue – the Black Lake, the Front Lake and the Long Lake. The Back Lake is stocked with dark, heavily-scaled mirror carp, long common carp, ghost carp and koi. Majority of the lake were stocked in 1994. It is home to plenty of 20-lb. carp and a few over 30 lbs..

The Front Lake is home to young English carp. Many are over 20 lbs. and the lake record stands at over 30 lbs.

The Long Lake is known for its high stocking level. It was opened in 2021 and is home to plenty of pristine, immaculate and previously uncaught carp.

A small range of effective baits are sold at the fishery.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp go up to over 30 lbs..

What tactics work well?

The prime time to get a bite is from first light to mid-morning. Nashbait Scopex Squid, Sticky Krill and Mainline Cell are reportedly effective for catching lots of carp.

What facilities are on site?

There is a car park and a bait shop on site.
