Fishery Information
Field Farm Fisheries has 6 lakes to choose from, with a great mix of coarse fishing available on all of the lakes. Night fishing is available on all lakes as long as it is booked in advance, and there is plenty to catch during the day or night. The fish include goldfish, tench, carp (common, mirror, grass, ghost and leather), roach, rudd, perch, chub and bream. While all of the lakes are a bit different, most offer a brilliant day’s fishing without too much work.
What size do the fish go to?
The largest carp on this site is 35lbs at the moment. This is in the Three Islands Pond. The House Pond also has carp up to 32lbs. The site also has bream and tench to 6lbs and roach and rudd to a couple of pounds too. House and Three Islands are the most popular lakes with carp anglers and match-style anglers fishing side by side. The other four lakes do have very nice quality carp and other fish but are more designed for beginners. However, beginners are still in with a chance of catching a carp over 8lbs!
What tactics work well?
Each lake fishes a bit differently on this complex, but on Three Islands and House, carp tactics do work well. The islands shouldn’t be ignored. A well-presented bottom bait is a must. Boilies aren’t allowed on this site, so natural baits are a good way to go. Corn, maggots and pellets are the go-to baits for locals.
What facilities are on site?
There is a tackle shop on site, there is also a campsite and toilet facilities as well.
