Fishery Information

The picturesque Ochil hills on Gleneagles Estate in Perthshire are home to the Frandy Fishery, an upland reservoir that offers fly fishing opportunities. It provides some of the best rainbow, brown, and blue trout fly fishing that Scotland offers. The reservoir is well-known for its scenic beauty and extensive bird life.

The fishery is easily accessible by road from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and it is just 20 minutes from Stirling and Perth. The reservoir is stocked with high-quality Rainbows, Browns, and Blues weekly.

The intention is to bring in more fish than what is taken out during the season. These fish are all female and triploid, and they make a great addition to the native Brown trout population because they complement it so well.
