Fishery Information
Hall Farm Fishery is comprised of two lakes in Burgh Castle, but information about this spot can be as difficult to find as consistent public opinion.
One fact that is known is that Hall Farm Fishery can get very busy – especially during the holidays. Anglers are recommended to book early when planning a fishing expedition.
The main lake of Hall Farm is about two acres in size. It’s stocked with carp, tench, bream, and roach.
The secondary lake is an S-shaped body of water, with plenty of carp.
Day and night fishing is available for both lakes, so make sure tickets are reserved to secure a spot.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp up to 26.5 pounds have been located in the main lake at Hall Farm Fishery. Roach up to two and a half pounds have also been fished from these waters.
The second lake has turned up a variety of carp up to 10 pounds.
What tactics work well?
The best bait for the big ones in Hall Farm Fishery is lunch meat, believe it or not. Maggots and sweetcorn are also popular at this spot.
Anglers must use a landing net, unhooking mat, and barbless hooks. Lines must be kept at under 10 pounds, no exceptions.
What facilities are on site?
Hall Farm Fishery is accessible for disabled anglers.
There is a bakery and a pub in the neighbourhood.
Is parking available?
There is parking on the premises at Hall Farm Fishery. The spot is located across the street from the Cherry Tree Caravan Park, so be mindful of that when making arrangements.
