What size do the fish go to?

The water is known for attracting many junior anglers due to its location, size, and depth, providing good sport for them. The main fishing targets are roach, tench, and carp, which can be caught on the pole or waggler. Carp anglers also frequent the water as there are fish that can be caught up to 25lb, as well as some bream weighing up to 5lb.

What tactics work well?

Both pole fishing and waggler fishing are successful tactics at this water. Anglers can use the pole or waggler to target a variety of species, including roach, tench, and carp. The specific techniques and bait choices may vary depending on the angler’s preferences and the fishing conditions. It is advisable to experiment with different approaches to find what works best on any given day.

What facilities are on site?

Anglers should be prepared for the possibility that basic amenities, such as seating or shelters, may not be available. It is advisable to bring any necessary equipment and supplies for a comfortable fishing session.

Is parking available?

Due to issues related to fly-tipping and misuse, the council has installed their own lock on the gate, preventing access for parking inside the fishery. Anglers are advised to park on the road outside of the water or utilize the Park car park higher up on the left. It is important to follow any parking regulations and avoid obstructing traffic or access points.
