Fishery Information

Set in the heart of Lancashire, near Garstang, Manor House Fisheries is a stunning location that offers excellent sport to the dedicated Carp Angler. The venue consists of four ponds, all of which display numerous fishing features. Furthermore, each stretch of water is healthily stocked with a wide variety of fish species.

The first pond is key-shaped and has over 24 pegs available. Crucially, several of the pegs are full accessible to elderly and disabled anglers. Additionally, the waters are well-stocked with Carp, Bream, Roach and Rudd

Pond 2 is slightly smaller than the first. However, it still has plenty to offer in terms of features and fish. The reeds, lily pads and mature trees give a serene feel as well as offering shelter. Furthermore, the site is home to numerous Carp, Bream, Roach and Rudd.

The third pond is again a little smaller in size. However, there are still several pegs available as well as a good number of Roach, Rudd, Bream and Carp.

Finally, pond 4 presents the largest on site. There are over 30 pegs available, with several being fully accessible to the disabled. Moreover, the setting boasts a healthy number of Carp, Bream, Tench and Roach.

What size do the fish go to?

Tench, Bream, Rudd, and Roach are typically landed between 2 and 7 lbs. Also, Carp are frequently caught at double figures, with larger fish exceeding 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Utilising a feeder with sweetcorn or worms is extremely effective. Additionally, Corn, Worm and maggots are all popular choices of bait.
