Fishery Information

Situated in a quaint and tranquil setting near Southeast Todmorden, New Mill Damn is a small mixed fishery that offers fantastic sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The site is approximately 1.5 acres, and the water has a total of 21 pegs, several of which are accessible for the elderly and disabled angler.

The waters are open only to members and are home to a variety of fish species including Carp, Bream, Trout, Tench and Rudd.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Tench and Rudd tend to weigh in within 3-7lbs. Trout come in with frequency over 20lbs and can only be taken if over 12” in length. Carp are commonly caught in double figures, with larges catches being reported at over 18lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms tends to work well. Ground baiting with boilies is strictly forbidden.

What facilities are on site?

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to members.

Safe and secure parking is available on-site.
