Fishery Information

Raphael Park Lake is a seven acre lake located in a lovely park, as the name would suggest. The grounds are very beautiful and speckled with plenty of things to do for families and groups. Raphael Park Lake is ideal for a great day outdoors.

The fishing spot is mostly noted for carp, although there is some discussion from locals about the quality of angling in this body of water. That makes getting a read on the actual fishing at Raphael Park Lake on the difficult side, but there are reasons to explore the spot.

Raphael Park Lake is especially popular among nature lovers, who love the surroundings and the lush trees. The park was officially opened in 1904 and fishing spots are available alongside the water.

The western boundary of Raphael Park follows Black’s Brook, a smaller stream dammed up where the park meets the main road. This is what forms the lake, which is reportedly 12 to 20 feet deep. You can find the dam inside the park next to Black’s Bridge.

What size do the fish go to?

Information on fish sizes at Raphael Lake Park takes a little bit of hunting, but some reports cite carp up to 28 pounds.
