If you are looking to have a superb fishing experience in Surrey, Stubpond Fishery is a nice choice for you. Open all year round, this venue consists of 5 coarse fishing lakes. Day tickets are available for this fishery. Night fishing is also allowed on site.
Originally built as a nursery pond in 1995, Chart Lake is biannually stocked with small carp, roach, rudd and tench. This water serves as a holding lake for the complex. It has 20 pegs running around a central island about 15 metres from the edge and is to 4 to 5 feet deep. This is an easy water, so it’s perfect for beginners.
Originally built in 1986, the Forge Lake is well-stocked with carp to over 30 lbs., ghost carp to over 20 lbs., bream, crucian carp, chub, rudd, perch, skimmers, sturgeon, catfish and tench. This water has 27 pegs and is ideal for anglers who are looking to catch big fish, day or night.
One of the most recently constructed lakes on site, the Mill Lake holds 54 pegs and has a central island running down the middle of its length at approximately 11 to 13 metres. It has a depth of between 5 and 7 feet. Fish species present include bream, crucian carp, orfe, perch, rudd and tench. This lake is ideal for family picnics because of its picturesque surroundings.
Built in 1994, the Plantation Lake is the site’s main match venue. It has 70 purpose made pegs, surrounding a central island running its full length between 15 and 24 metres out. Its depth varies between 5 and 9.5 feet. Features include rush beds off the island and lily pads in the margins. This water is home to carp to 14 lbs., chub to 5 lbs., perch to 4 lbs., barbel to 2 lbs., skimmers, gudgeon and crucian carp. It is also an ideal water for winter silverfish matches.
Built in 1986, the Stubpond Lake is ideal for club bookings. This 2-acre water has 34 comfortable pegs and is popular with pleasure anglers because of the easy catch rate. Fish present in this lake include carp to 25 lbs., ghost carps to 19 lbs., bream to 5 lbs., tench, rudd, roach, perch and chub.
