Fishery Information

Tear Drops is a complex of four lakes all flowing into one another. Lake three is not available for fishing, but the other lakes are. There is a great head of fish in these lakes, and some grow to very impressive sizes.

Throughout the season, Tear Drops can offer a very busy day’s fishing for those using the right tactics. Many local anglers can get in amongst the fish and land one on every cast! The trick to Tear Drops is finding the fish.

What size do the fish go to?

There has been a couple of really big perch landed at Tear Drops in the past. Perch over 4lbs are rare but can be landed. There are also tench to 6lbs and carp to 15lbs. There is also reasonably sized chub, bream and roach too.

What tactics work well?

As the fish are spread out on this lake complex, knowing where they are is vital. Arrive early, take a walk and look for signs of showing fish. Lake four and lake two are well worth exploring as these flank the no-fishing zone of lake three. From there, a method feeder with a good rich groundbait is a good choice. Maggots and corn are great hookbaits.

What facilities are on site?

There are no facilities at Tear Drops, just some very interesting fishing.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is a car park a short walk away from lake four.
