Fishery Information

Located in Milton Keynes, Woburn Sands offers fantastic sport to the keen Carp Angler. The venue sits just outside of the picturesque village of Woburn and is famous with the local angling community. The lake spans approximately 5 acres and is very deep in parts.

Furthermore, the setting boasts numerous fishing features such as reeds, islands and lily pads. Additionally, the mature trees on the perimeter offer shelter as well as housing several birdlife species.

Importantly, the waters are healthily stocked with Bream, Perch, Roach and Carp. Moreover, stock is replaced on a regular basis.

What size do the fish go to?

The venue is especially famous for its larger Carp. These commonly hit double figures and larger specimen reach more than 30lbs. Also, Tench, bream and Roach are frequently caught between 3 and 8lbs.

What tactics work well?

Common still water tactics are usually very effective. Additionally, utilising pellets during the summer helps to entice the larger Carp. Finally, worms, sweetcorn and maggot are all popular choices of bait.
