Fishery Information

Tockenham Reservoir is situated between Lyneham and Tockenham Wick, just off the A3102. It is a lovely 12.5-acre lake that is surrounded by beautiful old oak woodland. It is an angler’s paradise that is nice and peaceful until the fish rock up. There are some absolute monsters in this lake and plenty to go around too. Whether you want to target a new fish species or catch a big and beautiful carp, you can do it all here.

What size do the fish go to?

The carp in this lake reach 30lbs; some club members swear there are carp bigger than 30, though. There are also plenty of 20lbers and double figure carp too. Tench grow to about 7lbs here, and bream are up to 8lbs. There is also some fantastic roach, perch and crucian fishing in this lake. So, there are plenty of fish to target on this 12.5-acre lake.

What tactics work well?

There are over 90 swims on this venue, so finding the perfect spot for the fish you want to target is vital. For the larger carp, finding a clear area out in the middle is a good idea. Using bright bottom baits and a carpet of corn and hemp, could see net one of the big ones.

What facilities are on site?

There are no facilities; still, there is a pub half a mile down the road.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is ample parking, but the car park has a height restriction of 6 foot 6 inches.
