Fishery Information

Known for its excellent stock of carp, Warren Pond is a private estate lake nestling at the foot of a steep, woodland slope next to Tarn Pond. The shallow water makes fish easy to locate and catch. In addition to carp, other residents of this water include crucian carp, tench, roach, rudd, perch, pike and eel.

Warren Pond is an ideal venue for members who are looking to experience hassle-free angling in beautiful and quiet surroundings.

What size do the fish go to?

Mirror carp go up to 26 lbs., common carp to 22 lbs., tench to 7 lbs., crucian carp, bream, roach, rudd and pike.

What tactics work well?

Most anglers catch carp by concentrating on the far bank margin and placing baits as near to the marginal tree canopy as possible.

The shallow water and deep silt pose interesting problems for carp anglers. Chod rig is recommended for the best presentation for bottom baits. As carp show themselves frequently, a Pedigree Chum Mixer presented on the surface can provide excellent sport.

Bream, crucian carp and tench respond well to the standard pole. Tip techniques can also provide hectic sport.

What facilities are on site?

This venue offers parking facilities.

Is parking available?

There is a small car park available on site. From the car park, you need to walk across the dam between the ponds and access to the fishery is via the padlocked gate at the end of the dam.
