Fishery Information

The White House Mill Trout Fishery  located in a tranquil and attractive valley in ,Whitland, Pembrokeshire  features a four-acre lake surrounded by unspoilt countryside. The fishery follows a very high standard of maintenance, with mowed banks and natural hardwood trees all around the perimeter. 

A spring-fed river that replenishes the lake helps maintain the pH levels and excellent water clarity. The fishery does not permit more than 12 anglers at a time, but it is a lovely place to unwind while angling for some fish.

What size do the fish go to?

Fish typically mature to a weight of between 1 and 5 pounds, however there are occasionally a few surprises. The largest rainbow trout captured at the fishery was 15 pounds and 10 ounces, while the largest brown trout caught weighed 10 pounds and 8 ounces.

What tactics work well?

The only tactic allowed at the fishery is floating line fishing.

What facilities are on site?

Anglers have access to a fishing lodge located next to the parking lot of the facility. Other facilities include toilets, a “brew-up” area, for complimentary beverages including tea and coffee, and a picnic and BBQ area. .

Is parking available?

There is parking within fifty yards of the lake, making it easier for people with disabilities to access the lake’s banks under normal circumstances.
