Consisting of three mature gravel pits just three minutes off the M25 and a small distance from central London, Willows Lakes provide just the thing for a quality day of fishing.
Willows Lakes are part of a 180-acre estate and includes part of the River Colne, with farm surroundings that tuck visitors away in a uniquely rural environment.
Farm Lake is the first spot, with 12 acres in size and depths ranging between five and 20 feet. This is considered one of the more challenging lakes on the property, with plenty of features like islands, margins, silt spots, and deep channels.
Match Lake is six acres in size, with depths between three and 20 feet. It holds a lot of features, including margins, plateaus, bars, and shelves. There are 40 swims on Match Lake and about 8,000 carp in the water.
Willows Lake is 22 acres in dimension, with depths ranging between three and a dozen feet. Features include an island, margins, gravel bars, silt spots, and more.
Day tickets are available. A bailiff is on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What size do the fish go to?
Farm Lake boasts over 700 carp over 15 pounds, with at least three stretching between 30 and 40 pounds.
Carp in Match Lake are between two and six pounds.
Carp in Willows Lake run the gamut between three and 30 pounds, with most averaging a dozen pounds.
