Managed by the Warrington Anglers Association, Woodshaw Reservoir is a small, shallow members-only reservoir at Aspull, near Wigan. This water is known for having quality tench and crucians. Since this reservoir has a uniform depth of 3.5 feet, there is no need to cast more than 1 foot away from the reeds.

What tactics work well?

Mornings and evenings are the best times to catch tench and crucians. During daytime, fish a maggot in the open water for endless bites from roach and skimmers.
