Situated in a tranquil location near Newcastle upon Tyne, Brenkley Pond offers excellent fishing to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The site spans approximately 2 acres and boasts numerous fishing features. Long reeds and overhanging trees add to the serene atmosphere. Furthermore, the mature woodland areas that surround the setting offer shelter and provide a home to an array of birdlife species.

There are a total of 28 pegs to fish from, with several of them being fully accessible to disabled anglers. The waters are home to numerous fish species including Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Bream and Carp.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp are frequently brought in at double figures, with the larger specimen exceeding 20lbs. Additionally, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, and Perch typically weigh between 2 and 8lbs.

What tactics work well?

Standard still water tactics generally bring success. Anglers can fish using the pole or waggler. Moreover, worms, sweetcorn, maggots, and luncheon meat are all popular choices of bait.
