Fishery Information

Situated near Heath Charnock, Chorley, Limbrick Fishery is a tranquil setting that offers an excellent day’s sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The venue has been around since 2006, and comprises of two coarse fishing lakes, the Old Ashnut and the Doughnut Lake.

Old Ashbank has a total of fourteen spacious pegs, several of which are accessible to the disabled and elderly angler. The water is healthy stocked with Tench, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Barbel and Carp.

With a total of 29 pegs, Doughnut Lake is the larger of the two sites. All pegs are spacious and offer a wide range of fishing features. This spot is extremely popular for match days, and again, several of the pegs are suitable for the disabled and elderly angler.

Opening times are 7am-9pm during the summer months and 8am-5pm in winter. Tickets start from £5 and can be purchased from the on-site bailiffs.

What size do the fish go to?

Tench, Roach, Perch and Rudd tend to weigh in between 2-7lbs, with Barbel reaching the 10lbs region. Carp are frequently landed between 5-10lbs, and larger fish can get up to 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with sweetcorn can be extremely effective in enticing the larger Carp.

What facilities are on site?

A snack bar is situated on site and offers a range of food items plus hot and cold beverages. Clean and accessible toilet facilities are also available.
