Woolpack Fishery is one of the finest carp syndicates in the UK. It is home to some of the largest carp in the UK, and there are plenty to catch. There are four lakes to fish at this venue, and each of them holds carp that any carp angler would be proud to catch. For most, this is a PB breaking fishing venue, and that is why it is high on the list of any carp angler to fish.
Woolpack Fishery is such a good venue for carp fishing that it has had to employ a waiting system just to join the syndicate. Each November, the renewal process for the syndicate starts, but you have to be quick to get a spot on this venue.
What size do the fish go to?
The largest carp at Woolpack Fishery is over 50lbs. There are also plenty of 40s, 30s, 20s and hundreds of double-figure carp. Play your cards right at Woolpack Fishery, and you’ll be walking away from a session with a brace of carp that your wildest dreams couldn’t have predicted.
What tactics work well?
None of the fishing lakes at Woolpack Fishery have islands, so open water fishing is the name of the game here. A good spread of particles (corn and hemp) is a good idea, but pellets are a good option too. Using liquids is also a must here. Many anglers can get a quick bite using a PVA bag full of pellets and a high-attract liquid.
