Fishery Information

Ladygrove Lakes is a beautiful fishery located in Oxfordshire. It is a fair-sized lake with plenty of species to target during daylight hours. There are the usual tench, rudd, roach, perch, gudgeon and bream in the lake, which are perfect for the beginners to target.

However, Ladygrove Lakes also holds a good head of carp (mirror, common and ghost carp). It also has some beautiful goldfish which are a good size, and some hard-fighting barbel too.

What size do the fish go to?

Ladygrove hasn’t been fished very much at all, so it isn’t too clear what is lurking in its waters. There is certainly plenty of double-figure carp to be had. One or two beautiful goldfish that could reach 5lbs or more. What else is lurking in Ladygrove? Why not grab a day ticket from Didcot Angling Centre and find out!

What tactics work well?

If you want to fish for the carp in this lake, most standard carp tactics work well. However, sticking a PVA bag full of goodness next to one of the two islands is a real winner. For the smaller species, corn on the hook is a must! Although, all fish in the lake respond well to pellets, either in a PVA bag or when used as a hookbait. Using a method feeder in the margins, or a single hookbait with a few free offerings, is good tactic too.

What facilities are on site?

There aren’t any toilets on site, but there is disabled access to some of the swims.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
